Julian Castaneda, MD

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Julian Castaneda, MD, serves as Medical Director at The Judge Group, bringing a wealth of medical expertise along with hands-on patient care and healthcare staffing experience. His clinical background and leadership are critical to supporting Judge’s healthcare clients and ensuring the health and well-being of its employees.

Through his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Castaneda witnessed firsthand how rapidly healthcare evolves and how unpredictable it can be. This experience reinforced his commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care and medical guidance while staying current on emerging healthcare trends, best practices, and innovations impacting patient care and workforce health.

Dr. Castaneda attended Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where he earned a double major in Biology and Spanish on the pre-med track. In addition to preparing him for medical school, Ursinus helped him strengthen his Spanish language skills, which he continues to use daily in the communities he serves. He went on to earn his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although drawn to multiple medical disciplines, Dr. Castaneda ultimately found his passion in anesthesiology. He is now a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist and currently practices at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Castaneda resides in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Brenna, and their three children. Outside of work, he spends most weekends on basketball courts and lacrosse, field hockey, and soccer fields—watching and coaching his children. He enjoys traveling to new destinations, though the mountains and the beach remain his favorite escapes. He also has a passion for cars and a keen interest in the latest technology and gadgets.
