The Challenge: Migrating from an on-premises model to a modernized cloud environment

With trillions of dollars in global assets under management, this prominent investment advisor sought a better way to meet shifting customer priorities and market demands by moving beyond cumbersome on-premises data centers to a more nimble, scalable solution. The company chose Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support its cloud computing efforts, and needed help moving, maintaining, and re-writing many of its core applications.

The Solution: The design, development, and implementation of a customized cloud-based solution

The company partnered with The Judge Group to support its massive migration. Judge deployed 150 consultants with specific digital expertise to develop a framework that would enable a seamless transition from an on-premises model to the cloud. Judge’s specialists include AWS cloud architects, DevOps consultants, and cloud application developers. Embedded across several key subdivisions, the Judge team helped to ensure the success of the modernization effort and enterprise-wide adoption of the new cloud solution.

The Result: Successful cloud deployment and future-proof functionality

Building a cloud-enabled environment was only half the battle — Judge needed to ensure that the system could be continuously upgraded as new applications were released to the cloud. Judge’s AWS DevOps consultants built continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines equipped to handle upgrades, as well as to help set up, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure needed to run the cloud applications. Using primarily Python and Java coding, Judge’s cloud application developers also rewrote existing onpremises applications that enabled them to function in the AWS cloud.
