THE CHALLENGE: Deploying a Critical ISE Solution for Access Control at Major Manufacturing Facility

With manufacturing operations relying heavily on wireless and wired access, a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company needed a solution to improve security and control access to their networks. The project was complex, covering all manufacturing at the 1,300 acre, 6-million-square-foot campus that had over 150 buildings. The ISE project included the manufacturing network, which operates parallel with the global corporate network

THE SOLUTION: Deploying a Complex Cisco ISE Solution for Comprehensive Manufacturing Network Coverage

The client engaged Judge Consulting to design and deploy the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solution, leveraging Judge’s partnership with Cisco, expertise in network design and deployment, and familiarity with the manufacturing facility’s Zero trust network. The Judge team collaborated with the project team on ISE appliance installation, configuration, testing, service migration, and turnover. The team produced high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documentation, as well as ITIL process controls and management. The solution included multiple ISE appliances with dedicated personas, implemented and configured to support wireless and wired network access services.

THE RESULT: A Secure and Supported Network for Controlled Access on Wired and Wireless Networks

The Judge Consulting solution enabled the client to implement a dedicated Cisco ISE system to support and secure network access control for wireless and wired at the pharma giant’s largest manufacturing site. This solution was implemented across buildings and facilities at the 1,300-acre, 6-million-square-foot location. As a result, the client secured network access at a critical location within a highly regulated industry.
