Every managed capacity engagement is customized to your needs; however, they are typically structured on one of the following engagement models.
Outcome-Driven Teams
We provide cross-functional teams of consultants that work together towards common deliverables or outcomes. These teams (also referred to as Pods or Squads) are most often used in software development and include roles like project managers, business analysts, developers, QA engineers, DevOps professionals, and more; however, the model is applicable to any situation where there is a need for a team with cross-functional skills. In this model, all team members are focused on the deliverables and progress that you determine and operate as cohesive units, guided by Agile and DevOps methodologies, ensuring consistency, speed, and accountability across your projects.

Multiple Related Roles
Sometimes you need many people with the same or related skill sets all working towards common goals. Managed capacity can support this need by providing a collection of consultants to work in the same business area and focus on your expectations and KPIs. A team leader or engagement manager will watch across the roles and ensure their quality, performance, and productivity meets your needs.

Resource-as-a-Service (RaaS) or Fractional Resources
Sometimes you only need fractional support or specialized expertise at specific times within your workflow. The RaaS model provides flexibility through supplying the right skill sets exactly when you need them — no long-term commitments required. RaaS allows you to plug in niche skills for critical sprints, peak periods, or short-term initiatives, without the overhead of hiring full-time or long-term contractors.

Core-Flex Talent Models
This core-flex model is a combination of the other three models. With this model, you can build a dedicated core team (i.e., pods or related resources) to anchor your project, then scale up or down as your business evolves using additional resources either through RaaS, pods, or staff augmentation. This model gives you continuity with a core team, while still offering the scalability to respond to changing timelines, priorities, or workloads without disrupting progress.

Engagement Management or Team Lead
Every engagement comes with a dedicated lead who acts as your single point of contact. They oversee onboarding, performance, governance, and reporting, enabling consistent delivery quality, stakeholder communication, QBRs, and risk mitigation. While you maintain ownership of the project, these leads will be responsible for the quality, productivity, and performance of the Judge consultants.

Structured Playbooks
